This Saturday, January 30th @ Hermann’s
Nick and Ashley are coming together to bring to you a fusion of their musical styles, personalities and original compositions.
It’s going to be a fun, outgoing, serious, groovy evening. Ashley Wey sings, writes, and plays piano. Most of the year she’s performing all over the world on cruise ships, but every once and a while we’re lucky to have her present in Victoria. Nick La Riviere is a freelance trombonist, singer, conch shell player, and more. He plays with bands such as The Paperboys, Locarno, The Riverside, Michael Kaeshammer, The HiFi, The Yiddish Columbia State Orchestra… the list goes on. He also leads his own band performing mainly original music, and recently released his second album.
They’ll be performing a mix of both their originals, as well as some standards – jazz and otherwise. They’ll be joined by Damian Graham and Sean Drabitt.
Ashley is only in town a couple times a year, be sure to catch this amazing combo while you can.
It will be a great show, not be missed!
Reservations are highly recommended – email info@hermannsjazz.com.
tickets $20/ $15 students and VJS
Here’s a sample of one of the many styles Ashley plays in.
